I have been sailing for most of my life and have developed a passion for all water-based activities.  Highlights have included working as deck hand / watch leader on the 160ft luxury private motor yacht Pegaso, skippering 56ft sailing catamarans in the Caribbean, sailing in the Rothmans Cup (Cape Town) and racing dinghies (420's) in National events.  I was captain of sailing at school and have taught introductory courses in yachting, dingy-sailing and windsurfing.

Over the last 15 years as a diver, I have sought out and dived at numerous locations around the globe including South Africa, The Caribbean, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, The Seychelles, and Zanzibar.

I honed my yachting ability and all the associated skills at the UKSA (United Kingdom Sailing Academy) in Cowes.  My training included long passages aboard the BT Challenge boat Albatross (formerly Nuclear Electric). I have continued to learn and benefit from the experience of my piers during my time working in the industry.
